The short version
QuitJar collects no data. Nothing you log leaves your iPhone, and we cannot see it.
There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.
What the app stores, and where
Your puffs (the time of each one and how it was logged), your plan settings and a few app settings are stored in the app’s own storage on your iPhone.
The Lock Screen button, the Home Screen widget and Siri pass puffs to the app through a storage area shared only between QuitJar’s own parts on your device (an iOS App Group).
Like other app data, it is included in your iPhone’s iCloud Backup if you use iCloud Backup. That backup is Apple’s service, under your Apple Account; we have no access to it.
Purchases
The plan is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. The app asks Apple whether the plan has been bought; Apple does not tell us who you are.
If you email us
If you write to support@hikalabs.com, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and we delete them when they are no longer needed.
Deleting your data
Delete the app and its data is deleted from your iPhone. To remove it from an iCloud Backup, manage your backups in iPhone Settings.
Age
QuitJar is for adults (18+) who want to cut down and quit vaping. It is not made for children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
